i am in love this this photo. the colors, the framing, the contrast. i don't want all my wedding photos to look like this... but i want a few. lovely...

{ favorite things: etsy edition }

hello lovely,
well the doggie and i had a rough week. i left him in the kitchen thinking, "hey this will be nice, he can walk around a bit." boy did he... he somehow got on the counters ate an entire bag of chocolate chips, and a sponge. then escaped the kitchen, ate some dried flowers, ran upstairs got into my roommate's room, ate two shoes, and called it a day. he was nutty all night long from the "Caffeine Acid Trip" he was on. my night ended with me breaking down in tears and screaming. good news though, now he is mega calm and sleeping in his crate.  now i sit on my couch watching v for vendetta to celebrate the upcoming holiday, and looking at all the things i want on etsy :) here are a few...

{ favorite things: time with grandparents }

hello lovely,
the bubbie and i went camping with granny and papa this weekend! we had a blast :) growing up we spent the night with grandma and grandpa all the time, but not as much at granny and papa's. it was such a great trip. this summer they bought a pop-up camper and went out west. the camper is definitely the way to go for fall time camping. we stayed nice and warm all night. we camped just outside of the smoky mountain national park. the leaves were amazing and the campground was lovely. on sunday morning we took a drive into cades cove and stopped at all the cabins and churches along the way. papa loves one church on the way in so i was sure to get lots of pictures. inside my granny looked through the hymns scattered across the top of an old piano. i loved listening to her sing the tunes as she lifted each one ♡

side note: though unhealthy, papa looks so regal when he smokes his pipe :)

diy heroes vol 2:brabsies and shannon's fall inspired diy wedding

hello loves!
as promised here are some of the cute diy projects shannon made for her wedding. shannon i helping me out by letting me use some of her mason jars for our wedding. (and she has a lot!) i loved her "guest book": a tree painting guests helped create with thumb prints. i also loved the word search on the backs of the programs. an entertaining touch. there were many many more diy details at the wedding, she even made the runner! here are some of my favorites!
