primary colors

hello lovely,
i haven't style blogged in a long time, but i was looking rather colorful on a warm july day and asked my moon to snap a few photos. this outfit was so bright and cheery. i pieced the look together one morning when i was feeling in an exceptionally good mood and wanted it to last. it definitely brightened up my work day.  my thrifted scarf tied everything together and i felt happy all day long.

lately

hello lovely,
i have a few pictures here and there from some recent events, but not enough to make a full blog post on. so i decided to give you bits and pieces of the last few weeks. july 4th, a mini roadtrip with my mister on our way to a family reunion, and our friend's birthday party.  my sister and i are a week out from our trip to europe. i can't wait. we are visiting our friend laura in ireland, then jumping over to london just in time for the olympic chaos, staying with a friend in paris, then on the germany for a few days, and ending in austria with the sound of music tour. the trip of a lifetime. i'm sure there will be plenty of posts about it when we return. i also worked on a diy project i've been trying to make for a long time. i'll have a post on this tomorrow. seriously, i've been looking to buy this forever and finally broke down and made it myself.
wish me luck this week. work is going to be tough as i get ready for my 2 weeks off. it is so hard to get away.

fire pit inspirations

hello lovely,
the husband and i are thinking of building up our fire pit in the back yard. bonfires are fun to have year round and we have a great space for it in our yard. this summer we will be doing a lot of entertaining and i think this extra addition will make our yard even more fun. right now we have a grill, hammock, patio furniture and a patio dining area. hoping to plant some flowers soon and maybe even a horseshoe pit. here are some images that are inspiring this outdoor project.  be sure to check out the original posts for the ones you like. some of these have great DIY instructions for you to follow. i'll be sure to post pics once we build our own.

my trends for spring summer 2012

hello lovely,

i can't wait for  this spring/summer. there are just so many special events to look forward to. a bridal shower for my best friend rachel, a baby shower for a lovely new addition to my friendship family, my sister's graduation, our trip to europe and much more. i'm also looking forward to wearing some of my favorite clothes. i feel happier in the warmer weather. it makes me want to be more adveturous in my style choices too. there is just so much more to work with. here are some of the looks i can't wait to rock in the sunshine.
