our home: a blank slate

hello lovely!
here are some pictures of our new house before we had anything moved in.  what do you think? we love it! the house was built in 1955 and was completely remodeled this year. new appliances, crown molding, the works. niles and i couldn't be happier, and captain is loving all of the space to run and play. we actually took these pictures on the night we closed on the house. that night we blew up an air mattress in our bedroom and watched pee wee's big adventure. a great start to life in our new home. hopefully i will have some "after" photos for you soon.

if i wasn't saving up for a house...

hello lovely,
it is a cold gray sunday here in knoxville. i got a lot of cleaning done this morning and i'm finally on my last load of laundry. taking a break to blog a bit before cleaning my room. niles and i are currently saving all of our penny's to buy a house this summer. let me tell you, this is hard work. i want to buy everything i see! so many cute new spring looks are coming out now. i'm going to have to get creative with my wardrobe and make old looks new again. if i could buy anything i wanted here are some of the items on my list.
