stitched with love

and they lived happily ever after.

Last weekend this bachelorette became a bride! Allison had several hand stitched details that really set the tone for the intimate homemade feel she wanted for the wedding. She had embroidery hoop table numbers and a basket of stitched hearts for guests to wear if they wanted to "wear their hearts on their sleeve." I gifted her a stitched wedding topper and i'm really pleased with the final product. it looked adorable in that amazing cake! Can't wait to see Tim Ivey's amazing photos of the big day!

congrats love birds!

my life friend's shower

Hello Lovely,
We got the opportunity to shower our best friend with love and blessings a few weeks ago. Katherine is the most loyal and dedicated friend. She was such a blessing at my wedding. She organized my shower, my bachelorette party, and made sure everything came together the day of. For Rachel's wedding she came 2 days early and helped her run errands before the big day. The woman is amazing. That being said, we had to return the favor as best we could once she got engaged. We held the shower at my Grandmother's house. You might remember it from another big event in my life. The girls all came together with flowers, food, & drinks. We all wanted Katherine to feel loved. The afternoon was filled with good food, good friends, and family. There were a few tears, and lots of laughter as we shared stories and advice for the happy couple. The bride to be got some great gifts as well, but most importantly we got to take a moment to honor a wonderful friend.
Love you, Life Friend.
xoxo,

**Clarification: Kat and I call each other "life friend" because we are friends for life!

where troubles melt

hello lovely,
i am so excited. i've been looking for a print to frame that says "where troubles melt like lemon drops" for years. then when my sister showed be this DIY i knew i had to make my own. well, a few months later i finally did. i took a few photos and learned a few things. first, don't use transfer paper, ugh! the vinyl didn't want to stick to the canvas in the transfer and i just ended up doing it by hand. it was nice to have the cricut machine to make the letters look unique. you could easily purchase regular vinyl alphabet stickers too if you'd like. next time i want to do this over sheet music. i think that would be lovely too.
enjoy!

kitsch wish list

hello lovely,
i have a problem. in my heart i believe less is more. i want to live simply and have less clutter. BUT deep deep within i'm also obsessed with kitschy nick-nacks. i can't help it. i want an army or ceramic deer, any odd shaped planter you can think of, and everything in between. as you can see these are two very conflicting ideals. so, i will live out my kitschy dream here on the blog and save the husband some extra dusting. all of these can be found on etsy if you can't life without it. just save the plate for me please.
enjoy,
alyssa renee
